Anaheim kitchens, and the jobsite down the street

Some places nobody wants to deal with. The office after everyone leaves. The store before it opens. The patio and the grill after a party that ran long.

Almost everybody who tells us they cannot afford a cleaner is picturing somebody here every Friday. That is one way to do it. It is not the only one, and it is not the one most families here end up choosing. We come one time, or weekly, or every two weeks, or once a month, and the month is the option people underestimate.

Once a month works in this city because of what actually builds up in a house here, which is dust. It hardly rains between spring and the end of the year, so nothing gets rinsed off anything for months at a stretch. Then the Santa Anas start coming down off the desert in the fall and the whole place picks up a fine layer, windows shut or not. And in July and August, when it runs past a hundred, nobody is opening a window anyway. You wipe the coffee table Monday and by Thursday you can write your name on it.

Coming once a month is enough to keep all of that from turning into a project. The grout in the shower never gets ahead of you. The track on the patio slider stays clear instead of packing solid with grit. The top of the refrigerator, the blades of the ceiling fans, the baseboards down the hallway: the things you keep meaning to get to and then the Saturday goes somewhere else.

There is no one price for everything, because a two bedroom apartment in West Anaheim and a four bedroom up in the hills are not the same afternoon of work. Send the address and what needs doing, and we will tell you.

We come in after everyone goes home

A lot of what we do happens when there is nobody in the building.

The office gets cleaned after the last person leaves. The store gets done before the doors open, so you are not losing selling hours to a vacuum running down the aisle while somebody is trying to decide. If you run a business you already know that the middle of the day is the worst possible time to have anyone in there with a mop and a bucket.

Houses work out the same way for a different reason. Two people leave for work in the morning, and they would rather walk in at the end of the day and find it done than sit in the living room making conversation while somebody cleans around them.

Then there is the unit that is empty between tenants. That one comes with a date attached. Somebody is walking through it on a specific morning and it has to be finished before that, not around it, and property managers are usually the ones calling us with a week's notice or less.

We are based in Anaheim and we will drive up to about an hour, which is why the list runs from Placentia and Yorba Linda across to Tustin, Irvine, Santa Ana and Garden Grove, and then up the 57 to Diamond Bar and Pomona, with Chino Hills on the same run.

The exact hour gets set with you. Tell us when the place is free and we will work inside that.

The grill, the showroom and the jobsite

Three of the things we do are not on most cleaners' lists at all.

Car dealerships. If you run one on Auto Center Drive here, or over at the Tustin Auto Center off the 5, you know the showroom gets judged in about four seconds from the door: the glass, the floor everyone walks across, the customer restroom, the coffee counter, the sales desks at the end of the day. That is work we take.

Patios and grills. This is Southern California, so the backyard is a room people use in February. After a birthday that ran long, or a Fourth of July with thirty people out there, somebody has to deal with the grease baked onto the grate, the slab underneath, the table, and the sliding door covered in handprints at kid height. Most cleaning services will not go near the grill. We will.

Construction. Not only the sweep at the end. We come in at the rough stage while the framing and drywall dust are still flying, again for the final clean before the walkthrough, and back for the touch up once the punch list is closed out. Same for the kitchen somebody is opening up in one of those older tract houses that went in when the orange groves came out, and for the new buildings going up around Angel Stadium.

If you are not sure whether something falls under what we do, ask. The answer is usually yes.

What people ask us

Do you clean businesses, or only homes?

Both. Houses, apartments and short term rentals on one side, and offices, stores, car dealerships, buildings that property managers run and construction sites on the other.

How far out of Anaheim will you go?

About an hour's drive. That covers Placentia, Yorba Linda, Tustin, Irvine, Santa Ana and Garden Grove, and north to Diamond Bar, Chino Hills and Pomona.

Do I have to commit to weekly cleaning?

No. One time, weekly, every two weeks or monthly, whichever fits how you live. Plenty of houses do fine on once a month.

How do I get a price?

Send the address and what needs doing, and we will tell you. There is no single price for everything, and you can write to us in English or Spanish.
