Who writes this

My name is Josi. Before Cleaning Profiles existed I spent years building websites for cleaning businesses — about thirty of them — and that is where everything in this guide comes from.

Where this comes from

From sitting down with the owner to fill in her page. It is a long conversation and the same thing always happens: we get to the price field and everything goes quiet.

That is where you actually learn. What she charges and what she keeps to herself. What she throws in without mentioning it. The job she took once and never took again. The client of seven years she has never once raised the price on, and why. None of that is in an Angi blog post, because nobody tells Angi.

The numbers are real, and they have names on them

When a price shows up in this guide, it either comes from a profile on this directory — published by the owner, with her name on it — or from someone else's research, and then there is a link so you can go look yourself.

If the research was published by a company that sells software to cleaning businesses, that gets said too. Not to write it off: so you know what you are reading.

What you will not find here is an invented number. No "40% more work", no "most people charge this much" without saying who counted. If we don't know, it says so.

What this guide does not do

• It is not legal or tax advice. It explains what each thing is and what other people do, and for your own situation you talk to somebody licensed.
• It does not promise you clients. Nobody can promise you that, and anyone who does is selling you something.
• It does not open with "go get an LLC". This directory has people with a registered company and people without one, and both are fine; the guide explains what actually changes either way.

Written with help, checked by hand

Drafts are put together with writing tools, the way most publishing works now. Every fact, price and link is checked against its source before it goes up, and a person decides what the article says.

If you spot something wrong

Write to us — the address is at the bottom. It gets fixed and the change gets noted. An "Updated" date only appears when a fact inside changed, never just to look fresh.
