Cleaning a home in Milton
Milton kept the horse country when the rest of north Fulton filled up. Past the crossroads there are pastures behind four-board fences, barns, gravel drives, and houses set back on several acres, with newer neighborhoods tucked between them. Dogs are outside most of the day. Summers are long and wet enough that anything with fur comes back in damp, and a pool out back gets used from May into September.
Barn dirt and hay come to the back door on boots, so the mudroom and the laundry room are the first stop and the last one. Dog hair is the rest of it. It works into upholstery, into the edge of the carpet along the baseboard, and under the bed, and that comes out with a brush and a crevice tool, not a pass with the vacuum head. Water bowls leave rings.
