Industrial Cleaning

• Production aisles and walkways swept and scrubbed by machine
• Oil and coolant marks lifted off the concrete with degreaser
• Locker rooms, showers and the break room done between shifts
• The site offices, the shipping desk and the floor restrooms
• Handrails, stair treads and the painted floor lines kept visible
• Trash and cardboard pulled out to the dock on a round

• Cleaning inside the machines, which maintenance does under lockout
• Tanks, pits and confined spaces, which need a permitted crew
• Hazardous waste, which leaves on a manifest with a licensed hauler

• Hand work around racking and machinery that a scrubber cannot reach
• Metal chips and grinding dust that have to be swept up before a scrubber can go over them
• Overhead work that calls for a lift and a second person watching
• Night and weekend windows, plus the safety orientation everyone has to sit through before they set foot on the floor

How long it takes depends on how much floor is actually reachable. With the line running, the crew works the aisles around it; a shutdown or a weekend opens the whole floor, and that is when the heavy work gets scheduled.

Book this for a plant or an industrial unit. Ask the cleaner what safety training their people have, because a working floor has rules a home does not.

• Who locks out the equipment before your people clean around it?
• Do you bring your own scrubber, or are you using ours?
• What protective gear do your people bring to a working floor?
