What apartment cleaning looks like in Newark

In Newark a lot of the housing is two- and three-family houses with a unit on each floor, plus older apartment buildings and some blocks of rowhouses. The blocks are built right up to the sidewalk, so what comes off the street lands first: salt in winter, street dust the rest of the year, on the sills, the stoop and the entry floor.

Shared hallways and stairs in a two- or three-family house are their own question, and it has to be settled up front: what is inside the unit and what is not. Parking and street access shape when a visit can happen. Window sills and entry floors need more attention than the rest of the home.
