What apartment cleaning looks like in Brighton

Brighton is a dense Boston neighborhood of walk-up apartments and triple-deckers, many of them a century old, with narrow stairs, radiators, painted wood trim and small kitchens. Leases turn over heavily around the start of September. Winter means salt and sand carried up several flights, and radiators that run all season collect dust in the fins and behind them.

Everything comes up and down stairs, so supplies have to be light and few. Old radiators, tall painted baseboards and window casings hold dust that a quick pass misses. Move-out cleans cluster hard at the end of summer, and empty-apartment work is a different job than a lived-in one.
