House cleaning in Seagoville, TX

Seagoville sits in the southeast corner of Dallas County, where the streets run out and the ground drops toward the Trinity bottoms. Low, wooded land. Fields down there hold water for days after a hard rain, and the air stays damp long past sundown. There is room between the houses out here: frame houses, deep covered porches, and more yard than sidewalk. The porch light pulls in whatever is flying that night.

Damp is the thing to work against. A closet or a back bathroom with no airflow will not dry itself here, so fans go on and glass, tile and tracks get finished dry instead of left wet. Porch ceilings and window screens collect webs and need a broom before the inside gets touched. Sliding door tracks hold grit and standing water together, and that gets dug out, not wiped over.
